Col de Val Louron-Azet
Col de Val Louron-Azet is a Cat 1 climb in Hautes pyrénées between Genos and Saint-Lary-Soulan. It is also known as Col d’Azet. The summit is 1580 metres altitude. It connects Saint-Lary-Soulan , in the valley of Aure , to Génos and Loudenvielle in the Louron valley by Road D225.
Cat 1 from Saint-Lary-Soulan, 10.7 km at 7.3% gaining 780m. Road D225.
Cat 2 from Génos, 7.5km @ 8.3% gaining 620m. Road D225.
Tour de France
The Tour de France first used the climb in 1991 with a stage finish at Val Louron Ski Station. It has since crossed the summit 6 times.
