Criterium de Lacq-Audejos

Criterium de Lacq-Audejos will take place on Monday 4th August 2014. This will be the 7th edition of the race. It is one of many post Tour de France criteriums which take place throughout Europe in the first few weeks after Le Tour.

Lacq-AudÃ©jos is a town of 700 people just west of Pau. It sits on top of a largeÂ gasÂ field, which producesÂ five billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. It’s beenÂ pumpingÂ gas throughout France for the past 50 years. The gas field is operated by Total who are the main sponsor of theÂ race.

There are usually 30Â professional riders and 15 amateurs from local clubs. The course isÂ 1.6km long and will beÂ ridden 50 times. Entry for spectators isÂ free. Last year there were 10,000 present.
